Cookie policy
Last updated: 18 April 2026
This policy explains how Danson Marketing Ltd ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on dansonmarketing.co.uk and on the Danson AI application at ai.dansonmarketing.co.uk.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They help websites function, remember preferences, and collect analytics data. "Similar technologies" include local storage, session storage, and pixel tags.
2. Categories of cookies we use
2.1 Strictly necessary (always on)
These cookies are essential for the site to function. They cannot be disabled in our systems.
- Session cookies — maintain your authenticated session in the Danson AI dashboard.
- CSRF tokens — protect form submissions against cross-site request forgery.
- Cookie consent state — remembers your cookie preferences so we don't ask on every page.
Legal basis: legitimate interest (security and service delivery). Consent not required under PECR.
2.2 Analytics (opt-in)
These cookies help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Data is aggregated and does not identify individuals where possible.
- Plausible Analytics (or similar privacy-focused analytics) — we use cookieless analytics by default where possible.
- If we add third-party analytics such as Google Analytics 4, this policy will be updated and consent re-requested.
Legal basis: consent.
2.3 Marketing (opt-in)
We do not currently run advertising retargeting on the main website. If this changes — for example, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or Google Ads conversion tracking — this policy will be updated and consent requested.
Legal basis: consent.
3. Third-party cookies
Some pages embed content from third parties (for example, a Calendly scheduling widget on the contact page, or video embeds). These third parties may set their own cookies governed by their own privacy policies. We link to these where relevant.
4. Managing cookies
You can manage cookies via your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View cookies set by sites.
- Block all cookies, or block cookies from specific sites.
- Delete cookies when you close the browser.
Guides for major browsers:
Note: blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of our site from working correctly.
5. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is no industry-wide standard for responding to DNT. We honour it where technically practical by not enabling non-essential tracking when we detect the signal.
