This policy explains how Danson Marketing Ltd uses cookies and similar technologies on dansonmarketing.co.uk/ and ai.dansonmarketing.co.uk.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They help websites function, remember preferences, and collect analytics. “Similar technologies” include local storage, session storage, and pixel tags.

2. Categories we use

2.1 Strictly necessary (always on)

Session cookies maintain your authenticated session. CSRF tokens protect forms. Cookie consent state remembers your preferences. Legal basis: legitimate interest (security, service delivery).

2.2 Analytics (opt-in)

Privacy-focused analytics such as Plausible, used cookieless by default where possible. Any change to third-party analytics will update this policy and re-request consent.

2.3 Marketing (opt-in)

We do not currently run advertising retargeting. If we add Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or Google Ads conversion tracking, this policy will be updated.

3. Third-party cookies

Embedded content (e.g. Calendly widget, video embeds) may set cookies governed by their own privacy policies.

3.1 Google OAuth and calendar authentication

When a client business connects Google Calendar, Google may use cookies or similar technologies as part of its OAuth sign-in and consent process. Danson does not control Google’s authentication cookies. Danson AI may store secure session tokens or connection state needed to complete the integration and keep the user signed in.

4. Managing cookies

Manage via browser settings. Guides: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. Note: blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the site.

5. Do Not Track

We honour DNT signals where technically practical by disabling non-essential tracking.
